Service provides:

• legal services to financially eligible Nunavummiut in the areas of criminal, family, and civil law

Includes:

• a complement of family and criminal lawyers, administrative support, and court workers
• Criminal Law Line – people in police custody anywhere in Nunavut can reach a criminal lawyer and receive immediate legal advice; available after-hours, 365 days a year
• Family Law Line – general information about family law in Nunavut; available during regular office hours
• Civil and Poverty Law Line – general information about civil and poverty law in Nunavut; available during regular office hours

Operates under the Legal Services Board of Nunavut.
