Edmonton Community Legal Centre – Legal Advice Clinic

Offers a summary legal advice clinic where clients can get free advice for up to 45 minutes with a lawyer over the phone, and sometimes in-person.


Service provides:

  • a volunteer lawyer to explain legal issues, outline steps in resolving a matter, help filling out documents, and makes referrals

Volunteer lawyers may assist with:

  • landlord-tenant disputes
  • human rights concerns
  • employment law
  • debt law
  • small claims
  • estate law, including adult guardianship / trusteeship

Clients may then be referred to the following programs:

  • Civil Law Program
  • Family Law Program
  • Immigration Law Program

Does not deal with criminal law matters.
