Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse – Individual Specialized Sexual Violence Counselling

Provides one-on-one and group counselling for individuals impacted by any form of sexual violence including sexual harassment, sexual abuse, and sexual assault; as well as counselling to anyone supporting an individual who has been impacted by sexual violence.

Service offers:

• up to 14 sessions for individuals impacted by sexual violence and up to 6 sessions for their support persons
• assistance with effects of sexual abuse crisis including immediate impact, emotional and behavioural reactions, and practical issues related to sexual assault
• counselling topics including information on sexual abuse and sexual assault, sexual violence and its social context, anger, depression, trust, grief and loss, self-esteem, assertiveness, guilt and shame, body image, sexuality, power and control
