Aftermetoo is an independent Canadian charity working to end workplace sexual harassment.

Everything we make is free, bilingual, and built on research. That’s possible because of the funders and partner organizations who back this work — private foundations, the Government of Canada, expert collaborators, and individual donors. We name them here, and describe what each one supports.

Funders

Canadian Women’s Foundation

Foundation and partner · since 2018 · current grant 2026–2027

The Canadian Women’s Foundation is our longest-standing supporter. It was our partner on Rosa, the project under which the original Aftermetoo website was built, and today it funds work to strengthen our strategy and the internal systems that sustain the organization — from planning and governance to our financial and privacy practices (2026–2027). It is also a partner on our current Department of Justice project (WSH-LAP).

Department of Justice Canada

Government of Canada · legal advice program 2024–2027; earlier website build

The Department’s Legal Support and Awareness to Address Workplace Sexual Harassment Fund supports the Workplace Sexual Harassment Legal Advice Program (WSH-LAP, 2024–2027), which provides information, legal advice, and related services — therapy, financial counselling, and career support — to people facing sexual harassment at work in Canada. The Department’s Justice Partnership and Innovation Program also helped fund the original Aftermetoo website.

Women and Gender Equality Canada

Government of Canada · 2024–2027

Women and Gender Equality Canada funds Scaling Aftermetoo, which builds online communities where people aged 18–34 who are being sexually harassed at work can share resources, learn from one another, and organize for change. With a 2026 extension, the project also restructures our information for young women and 2SLGBTQIA+ people so that AI-powered tools can reliably find and share it.

The Law Foundation of Ontario

Foundation · December 1, 2023 – March 31, 2026

The Law Foundation of Ontario funded Expanding Aftermetoo legal information about workplace sexual harassment. With its support, we surveyed our users, revised and substantially shortened our library of legal-information articles, wrote new content for under-served groups — including gig-economy workers, personal-care workers, and trans and non-binary people — and rebuilt the site’s navigation and design so people can find what they need faster.

While financially supported by The Law Foundation of Ontario, Aftermetoo is solely responsible for all content.

Employment and Social Development Canada

Government of Canada · website build (launched 2023)

Through its Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Fund, Employment and Social Development Canada was a major funder of the original Aftermetoo website, which launched in March 2023.

Individual donors

Community support · ongoing

Donations from people who believe in this work help keep our information free, independent, and available to anyone who needs it.

Partner organizations

Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women & Children (CREVAWC)

Western University · since 2018 · active partner today

Our longest-standing partner, since 2018, beginning with Rosa. CREVAWC brings deep research expertise on gender-based violence to the design and substance of our work — and remains an active partner today on our current Department of Justice (WSH-LAP) and Women and Gender Equality Canada projects.

211

Community resources

Through a first-of-its-kind national coordination with 211, the Aftermetoo site offered custom-curated lists of community resources for people dealing with sexual harassment, matched to the user’s location.

Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic

Partner on Rosa

A Toronto clinic providing legal representation, counselling, and language interpretation to women experiencing violence. The Clinic was our partner on Rosa.

APTN

Partner on Rosa

The Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, our partner on Rosa.
