Information for professionals participating in the Aftermetoo Workplace Sexual Harassment Support Program

If you’re a therapist, lawyer, or coach working with someone who’s experienced workplace sexual harassment, you and your client may be able to participate in the Aftermetoo Workplace Sexual Harassment Support Program.

This page explains how the program works, who can participate, and what to expect.

About the Program

The Aftermetoo Workplace Sexual Harassment Support Program is a national coverage program that pays for professional services for people in Canada who’ve experienced workplace sexual harassment.

We cover counselling, legal advice, career coaching, and other related professional supports.

The goal is straightforward: to make high-quality, confidential professional services easily accessible and fully covered.

The program is operated by Aftermetoo, a Canadian nonprofit that designs practical support systems for people affected by workplace sexual harassment, in partnership with Workplace Options (WPO), a global provider of employee wellbeing services. Aftermetoo oversees program design and governance; WPO manages intake, coordination, and payments.

Why Participate

Working with this program allows you to:

  • Get paid at your usual rate
  • Support your client in getting the help they deserve at no cost to them
  • Keep clinical independence — you use your own professional judgment and methods

Who Can Participate

To participate, you must:

  • Be located in Canada
  • Have the appropriate professional credentials
  • Be working with someone who has experienced sexual harassment in a work-related context in Canada and has completed (or will complete) a program intake call

We don’t require clients to provide proof or documentation. If a workplace experience has affected them — even if it happened long ago — they can use the program.

How It Works

The process is simple:

  • Your client calls the program line and provides your contact information.
  • We send you a short provider agreement to sign and collect your credentials and payment details. Your client signs the consent form.
  • Once documentation is complete, you can begin invoicing us directly.

Setup is quick: the initial call takes about 30 minutes, and services can begin as soon as paperwork is complete.

Rates and Payment

You invoice us directly; clients are never billed or asked to pay upfront.

We pay standard market rates based on your usual fees and regional norms.

Invoices are typically processed within 30 days.

Coverage for each client is based on service type and individual needs. Legal services are covered up to $3,000, and counselling up to $5,000. Additional coverage may be approved in special circumstances.

When a client’s coverage ends, you can continue working together privately if you both wish — simply return to your normal billing arrangement.

Confidentiality and Professional Standards

Confidentiality is integral to this program.

We never request clinical notes, reports, or session details. You’re expected to follow your normal professional and ethical standards.

Information we collect from you is used only to confirm credentials and process payments.

You remain responsible for your own duty of care and any mandatory reporting obligations.

All personal information is managed under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and global privacy standards.
