Understanding the Program
This program covers the cost of professional services you may need after workplace sexual harassment — including counselling, legal advice, and career coaching.
You don’t have to prove anything or make a complaint to use it.
It’s a national, government-funded partnership between Aftermetoo, a Canadian nonprofit that designs programs for people affected by workplace sexual harassment, and Workplace Options (WPO), which provides the services.
Many people never get professional support because they don’t have time to set it up or it’s too expensive.
This program removes both barriers: we organize the services and cover the cost.
How It Works
- Call 1-800-999-9999
- A qualified counsellor will help you decide what kind of professional support makes sense for you.
- You can choose to be matched with a therapist, lawyer, or coach from the program’s network — or, if you already work with someone, you can request that we cover their fees instead.
- The program pays the service provider directly, so you don’t have to.
You can use one service or several. You can start and stop as needed. We can also cover the cost of other approved supports that make life or work easier — for example, short training programs, temporary help at home, or certain wellness services.

Our counsellors can speak with you in English or French.
If you prefer another language, tell us when you call — interpreters for more than 200 languages are available within minutes.
We can provide therapists, lawyers, and coaches in English or French. If you want services in another language, let us know and we’ll do our best to arrange it.
This site meets or exceeds WCAG AA accessibility standards to make it usable for people with physical, cognitive, or situational disabilities, and for those on slower connections. If you’re having trouble using it, please let us know.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Your privacy and confidentiality are protected.
When you call, we’ll ask for your name, contact information, and a few basic demographic details. If you’d prefer to stay anonymous, that’s no problem — it just means we can only offer support during that call.
Your information is handled under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and stored securely.
We only collect what’s needed to arrange and pay for your services — things like your name, contact details, and the type of support you’re using. Your information stays within the program and is never shared outside it.
Your employer has no role in this program, and no one at your workplace will be told you’ve used it. The program is government-funded, but no personal information is shared with the government.
Everything you discuss with your counsellor, lawyer, or coach is confidential.
Exceptions are rare and only those which are required by law — for example, if there’s a serious risk of harm to you or somebody else, or we receive a court order. Even then, we take every possible step to protect your privacy.
We follow strict security standards, including encryption and limited access to data.
