You’re in the right place

If you’ve been sexually harassed at work — or something happened that felt wrong and you’re not sure what to call it — this is where you can get confidential, professional legal advice from an employment lawyer in your province or territory.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you call. You don’t need proof, a report, or to name names. You can call anytime.

Your call will be answered by a qualified intake counsellor who will ask a few questions to understand your situation and connect you with the right lawyer for you.

What to expect when you call

The conversation can take a little time. The intake counsellor may ask what happened, what province or territory you’re in, and what you’re hoping to get out of legal advice.

You don’t need to have clear answers — they’ll help you think it through and get you connected to a lawyer who handles workplace harassment cases.

Once you’re matched, your lawyer can help you with things like:

  • Understanding your rights — what counts as harassment under the law where you live, and what protections you have
  • Knowing your options — whether that’s filing a complaint, negotiating an exit, or taking formal legal action
  • Planning your next step — real advice tailored to your situation, not just general info
  • Continuing with a lawyer you already trust — if you already have an employment lawyer you’ve been working with, we can often cover their fees up to $1500.

What this program is

This program is part of Aftermetoo, a national non-profit that covers the cost of free, confidential legal advice for people in Canada who’ve experienced workplace sexual harassment.
