1. Introduction

Aftermetoo, a Toronto-based national charity that supports people experiencing sexual harassment at work in Canada, is seeking a solo practitioner or small agency to manage and optimize our paid media campaigns across Google Search, Reddit, and Tumblr.

We’ve been managing our own ads for about a year. Now that we have some experience with the platforms and a basic understanding of the mechanics, we are looking to outsource to experts.

Our ad budget is currently $6,000 per month across all platforms. 

Our goal is to drive traffic to the following: 

  1. Our Digital Communities – Online communities on Reddit and Tumblr where people experiencing sexual harassment at work in Canada can seek advice, information and support.
  2. The Legal Advice Program – A project that provides free legal advice and mental health and career supports through an EAP-like program, for people experiencing sexual harassment at work in Canada.
  3. The Aftermetoo Website – A one-stop information shop for people  experiencing sexual harassment at work in Canada.

It’s important to note that because we are a charity, our ad spending isn’t aimed at driving revenue. Our goal is to drive traffic to our informational and educational materials, which are all available online for free.

2. What We’re Seeking

We want you to manage and optimize our paid media campaigns across Google Search, Reddit, and Tumblr. Our goal is to drive highly relevant traffic to our free educational and informational digital properties. 

We want to work with a person or agency that can handle everything end-to-end (strategy, ad creation, audience targeting, budget management, reporting). We’ll want your sustained attention to our campaigns; we’ll expect you to be continuously optimising to maximise performance.

3. Scope of Work

You will handle:

  • PPC strategy and campaign planning for Google Search, Reddit and Tumblr
  • Ad creation and execution
  • Audience targeting and optimization
  • Performance monitoring and reporting
  • Budget management and scaling

We do not need: 

  • Branding and creative development beyond ads
  • Website design/development
  • Landing page and CTA recommendations

We do not use Google Ad Grants.

We are considering doing some experimentation with creator partnerships on TikTok. You may include this as part of your proposal if you want.

4. What We Are Looking For in Your Proposal

We’re not looking for elaborate proposals. 

Your proposal should be concise and should address the following:

  1. PPC Expertise – Briefly outline your experience running campaigns on the platforms listed. We don’t expect you to necessarily have experience with Reddit or Tumblr: if that’s the case, please tell us. If you have experience with mission-driven or nonprofit clients, please tell us that too. 
  2. Platform-Specific Strategy – Please explain how your strategy varies across different ad platforms. Specifically, how would your approach to Google Search ads differ from Reddit or Tumblr?
  3. Budget and Cost Structure – Please describe your cost structure and provide a budget for this engagement, specifying your management fees (fixed or percentage-based) as well as any additional costs (e.g., setup fees, platform learning, etc.).

6. How We Will Evaluate Proposals

We will prioritize proposals that show evidence of:

  1. Full-service PPC management capabilities 
  2. An approach to strategy and execution that is platform-specific 
  3. Experience with mission-driven/nonprofit work
  4. A hands-on, ongoing focus on optimisation and performance 
  5. A cost structure that is clear and reasonable.

  • Proposals will be confidential and used solely for evaluation purposes.
  • Aftermetoo reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
  • All work must comply with all applicable laws.

Please note that to ensure a fair and transparent process, Aftermetoo will not engage in discussions or answer questions from potential bidders during the proposal development period. All information necessary for preparing a proposal has been provided in this RFP document.

Appendix A: The Communities Project

The Communities Project builds and maintains online communities for people aged 18-35 who have experienced workplace sexual harassment in Canada. These communities are spaces where people can share experiences, give and receive support, and organize for change. 

The Workplace Sexual Harassment Legal Advice Program (WSH-LAP) provides free and confidential legal support as well as mental health support and career counseling for people experiencing workplace sexual harassment in Canada,  through an EAP-like program.

Aftermetoo is Canada’s first and only national charity solely dedicated to combating workplace sexual harassment. Aftermetoo aims to provide people experiencing workplace sexual harassment in Canada with resources and information to navigate harassment, connect with support systems, and drive systemic change.
